We will visit the birthplace of Carioca Samba and the landmarks of Rio de Janeiro since its urbanization, the history of the first favela of Brazil, Valongo hangling garden (old slave market), the wharf which received most of the slaves in America, the museum New black (old cemetery of the black people) and the history of the Lazaretto. The Bonita Stone trail is an exciting walk inside the Tijuca forest, considered one of the easiest trails in the forest. It starts from the free flight ramp access, where it is possible to see the takeoff of hang gliding and paragliding flights. At the top we will have an amazing view of Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf, the beach of Barra da Tijuca and São Conrado. In this place you can see the best view of the Empire face at the Gavea Stone. This trail is for everybody, including children.

With the retreat of the sea, several islands appeared. Gigoia Island is one of them. Although it is only 3 minutes away from a big avenue, it`s a quiet area for those who want a refuge. 7000 people live there. We will visit the streets, typical houses. There are no cars on the island, but we have hotels, restaurants available for visitors. It’s possible to navigate on the lake to see the crocodiles. Although they are close to the houses, they never attack anybody.

Maracanã Stadium is the soccer temple that hosted two world cups. Built in 1948 for the world cup of 1950, it is named after Mário Filho in honor of the journalist who made all he could to build the Stadium in that area.
